Goals

•Increase Rori's edge awareness
•Be able to hold an inside edge on one foot for a short time
•Continue development of forward crossover

Warmup

•Falls with moving recovery (to reduce fear of falling during crossover)

Skills

ONE FOOT GLIDE WITH EDGE VARIATION

•Begin with standard one foot glide
•Show that leaning to the inside causes a turn on one foot, preferably completing this with both feet.
•Do not stress the point too much, but try this with an outside edge too

EDGE EXERCISES

•Snake Edges
•Holding inside edge on circle
•Hawk-eyed (that is, being a stickler for technique) lateral crossover march

FORWARD CROSSOVERS

•Perform crossover exercises on the ends of the rink to reduce pressure to do tight turns with the crossovers
•Heavily emphasize that the arms must remain up and on the circle
•Begin with cross-strokes on a serpentine line
•Move to counterclockwise crossovers on 1/3 rink
